Jamie (James) Wright and his sister go to North Marion and his house caught on fire just before Christmas, and they're having a hard time since rhe things they salvaged from the house got stolen and they had no insurance. But the family is taking donations at all the Credit Union banks in our area.

This isn't as much of a prayer, but more a praise. I'm not sure if any of you heard about Rose Sonders (sp.?) or not. Rose Mary Sonders is a fifth grade teacher at West Fairmont Middle School. She slipped and fell on ice in the parking lot at the school last Friday morning, and hit her head very hard. She went into the office, and my mom took a look at her, and noticed a large knot on the back of her head, which is good medically. However, Rose complained about her hearing sounding liek she was sitting in a tunnel. Other that that she was fine. My mom being the worrisome person that she is, insisted to take her to the hospital to make sure everything was okay. Rose refused and refused, but when she got a little bit of a headache, she gave in. My mother took her to the hospital, they said she looked good, and that they needed to do a catscan just in case. The doctor looked it over and said it looked good, but they wanted to have their radiologist double check it, and then they would let her go. When the doctor came back in, they put the cages up on the side of the bed, and said that they were going to have to keep her; she had bleeding on the brain. The ended up having to take her to Ruby Memorial Hospital to do brain surgery. The next morning, everyone was nervous to see what would happen when she woke up. There were possibilities of being paralized on one side, loss of sight, hearing, etc....several things, coma,... But she was fine! The surgery went wonderfully and the doctor was pleased. We went to visit her, and she kept constantly telling me that she loved my mom very much. I am absolutely appalled how God works through us to change our lives. Here two women say hello to each other every morning 5 days of the week. Now so, so close, and Rose is alive. I usually complain about my mother's constant worrying over a sprain or bruise, but I am so, so thankful, now, for this quality. Prayers are still needed though; she still has swelling on the brain.

A few days ago my dad was told he had Cystic Fiberosis. He was told that he's had it since 2000 and on average it destorys your lungs in 4-5 years. They also told us there was no cure. It's a disease but they haven't figured out how to stop it from turning your lungs into scar tissue. Right now he only has 10% of his lungs. I hope you guys can pray for him and maybe that will help. Thanks.

About three weeks ago, in Wilmington, North Carolina, my twenty-three year old cousin was hit head on by a drunk driver. She was due to graduate with a degree in nursing in May. The driver that hit her was driving 75 in a 30 zone. His blood alcohol level was so high, that he went straight to jail. He hit her with such force that he broke both arms, both legs, fractured several ribs, left lacerations on her spleen and kindey, fractured a vertebrae, and drove her femur through her kneecap.
Before the accident, she was a very active young woman. She's gone from doing whatever she wanted and taking care of herself to doing nothing and being cared for by her mother. Please pray for her recovery!
